Meta-Minds Institute is Reframing Intelligence

and operates from an integrated perspective of intelligence, that of which is dynamic rather than fixed. A Feuerstein Learning Propensity Evaluation is used to determine how a student thinks and learns. The goal is to seek understanding of an individual’s learning process, not simply determine a comparison against their peers, as in standardized assessments.

Students learn how to approach their learning by developing working memory and selective attention skills to integrate their thoughts, identify problems, and connect events.  Small F.I.E. groups provide an added benefit of developing multiple viewpoints, mental flexibility and social cognition skills.

These process skills build the foundational ‘thinking infrastructure’ for Math, Science, History and Language Arts.
